A Louisiana garden bridal luncheon: Styled Shoot

June 8, 2015

Happy Monday Yall! I recently had the privilege of being a part of a style shoot and I couldn’t have been more in love with it! The color palette, flowers, styling, invitations, china….it was perfect! We have some awesomely talented vendors here in Lafayette! The shoot was recently featured on 100 Layer Cake! YAY~  http://www.100layercake.com/blog/2015/05/29/louisiana-garden-bridal-luncheon-southern-bridal-shower/
I wanted to share some of my favorites from the shoot! Here’s southern charm at it’s finest!
“Whether you’re here or there, a few sweet words we hope you’ll share!”
There’s nothing sweeter than spending time with your best friends, except when it’s your turn to shower them with love! The inspiration for this bridal luncheon was a mixture of classic Southern romanticism with a touch of modern flair – pulled together by a soft color palette and a whimsical setting.
The table scape consisted of an array of china offset by gold flatware, a striped ivory linen, and a striking asymmetric floral centerpiece. A wedding cake shot layered with raspberry filling added a soft pink hue to the table, and the bride spoiled her guests with her favorite sweet treat: gold-dusted macaroons!
The invitation suite incorporated a hand-painted watercolor stripe offset with handwritten calligraphy to strike the romantic, yet modern feel of the luncheon. Instead of the traditional RSVP card, guests were encouraged to share a few sweet words about the bride.
The guests played to the theme and color palette by dressing in classic lace and contemporary cutouts. Each girl added unexpected pops to her look with stunning jewelry and fun shoes. The bride chose a white crop-top and flared skirt combo and even incorporated a floral cluster headpiece, which showcased the same flowers found in the table arrangement. Later, they snuck away from the table to a more quaint seating area to exchange gifts. The bride gave her bridesmaids personalized charm bracelets to show her appreciation. The ladies shared a champagne toast to the upcoming big day, and they closed the luncheon by reading all of the sweet notes guests shared on their RSVP cards. With a fresh color palette and the mix of classic taste with modern flair, this bridal luncheon is perfectly suited for the bride looking to shower her favorite girls with love and sweet treats!
